An unplanned power outage has been affecting the city of Gonzales, California, (located in the central Salinas Valley), yesterday evening and today. Early reports of a failed transformer caused sporadic areas to experience intermittent outages—some regions are without power entirely. Markon has been in communication with three shippers who load in the Gonzales area who experienced outages:

• Dole Fresh Vegetables
• Growers Express
• Misionero Vegetables

As of 9:30 a.m. PST this morning, power has been restored to Misionero and Growers Express, but Dole Fresh Vegetables remains without it; power is expected to be restored by 12:00 p.m. PST today. 

Several Markon orders scheduled to load at Misionero Vegetables are affected. Markon is in communication with trucks as well as suppliers in order to prioritize loading appointments in order to avoid further delays.
