Strawberry prices are on the rise. Valentine’s Day demand is ramping up. Stemmed strawberry volume remains extremely low in all areas.

Oxnard, California

• Forecasts call for rain from Saturday January 23 through next week
• More rain, low temperatures, and possible frost are expected the week of February 1
• Supplies will remain extremely limited; Mexican fruit is being transferred to help fill supply shortages
• Quality is good

Mexico

• Cooler weather persists, keeping size small and supplies tight
• Weather forecasts call for slightly warmer daytime temperatures next week
• Fruit is loading in South Texas, as well as Oxnard and Los Angeles, California
• Quality is good

Florida

• Supplies have increased slightly; cold weather is returning next week limiting stocks again
• Quality is good
