The Arizona/California desert growing region began receiving light rainfall late yesterday afternoon, January 19, that progressed into thunderstorms this morning. Forecasts are calling for more rain throughout the day and tomorrow, January 21, with up to 1.00” of rain possible and more showers returning Saturday and Sunday, January 23-24.

In anticipation of the rain, Markon suppliers had already begun packing orders ahead to avoid delays or shortages related to poor field conditions. Some growers have canceled today’s harvest operations.
