UPDATE: WEATHER AFFECTING STRAWBERRY SUPPLIES

Markets continue to strengthen as demand increases for the Valentine’s Day pull. Wet weather is on the horizon in Oxnard and will further affect supplies. Mexico and Florida continue to struggle with cold weather. Stemmed strawberry volume is extremely low.
Oxnard
- Forecasts call for rain January 22, continuing through next week
- Cold weather will return at the end of this week
- Supplies will remain tight
Mexico
- Stocks continue to be affected by low temperatures
- Weather forecasts call for evening and morning weather in the low 40F degree range
- Fruit is available for loading in South Texas as well as Oxnard and Los Angeles, California
Florida
- Supplies remain limited as fields continue to experience cold weather
- Harvesting delays are possible as scattered showers are in the forecast this week
