Offshore cantaloupe and honeydew melon prices are elevated due to inclement weather during the hurricane season in Central America. Expect high prices for the next three to four weeks.
- Central America and Mexico are the primary growing regions at this time

Offshore shipments into the U.S. are below-normal due to low yields
- Hurricanes Eta and Lota pushed through Central American growing regions in November, stunting crops and affecting yields; jumbo sizes are extremely limited
- Quality ranges from average to good; sugar levels range from 12 to 14 Brix
- Expect offshore melon markets to remain elevated over the next three to four weeks

Mexican honeydew markets remain steady
- Supplies are average
- Quality is good
- Mexican cantaloupe supplies are extremely tight
