California strawberry supplies continue to tighten. Warmer-than-normal temperatures over the past month have put a strain on production. Demand remains strong; elevated markets are expected into October.  

• Markon First Crop Strawberries are available in Santa Maria, California
• Supplies are expected to remain extremely limited for the next 10 to 14 days
• Salinas/Watsonville production is winding down rapidly
• Quality concerns include bleeding, bruising, pin rot, small size, softness, and reduced shelf-life
