Asparagus
- Summer demand has peaked leading into the Independence Day holiday
- Markets in Central Mexico have stabilized; growers have hit peak production
- Expect falling prices through July and into August
Bell Peppers
West Coast
- Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials (ESS) Green and Red Bell Peppers are available

Red bell production is winding down in the California desert region
- Supplies are extremely limited
- New crop production will start in California’s Southern Central Valley the week of July 6
- Green bell demand is strong due to low East Coast volume; stocks are tightening
East Coast
- MFC and ESS Green Bell Peppers are available; packer label may be substituted as necessary
- The Georgia crop is winding down; rain and hot weather have reduced yields and affected quality
- New crop supplies will begin shipping out of the Carolinas later this week
- Expect limited East Coast stocks until the North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, and Michigan crops ramp up in mid- to late July
Cantaloupe
- Prices are beginning to ease as production ramps up on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley

Foodservice sizes will remain tight (12- and 15-count stocks)
- The crop is still running larger than normal with very few 15-count melons
- 12-count supplies will remain tight for the next several weeks
- Limited quantities of bin cantaloupes are available on the East Coast
Potatoes
- Demand for raw product is increasing, creating competition for remaining 2019-2020 fresh-market crop supplies
- Processor demand has risen as North America opens from COVID-19 shelter in place rules
- Supplementing Washington MFC Norkotah Potatoes may be necessary to bridge the gap until new crop, Idaho Norkotahs enter the market
- New crop harvesting is set to begin during the week of August 3
