The domestic Navel orange season is nearing its end; 113-count and smaller sizes remain tight. New crop Valencia supplies will start shipping at the end of April/early May.

• Navel stocks are dominated by 88-count and larger sizes; orders for small fruit will be filled, but Navels will be substituted with Valencias within the next 10 to 14 days
• Valencia sugar levels are expected to range from 12 to 14 Brix; current Navel sugar levels vary from 14 to 16 Brix
• Navels are darker orange in color, while Valencias are light orange to yellow
• Mexican Valencia stocks will remain on the market through June/July; sugar levels range from 12 to 13 Brix
