The Idaho potato market continues to decline. Demand for retail bags remains stronger than normal. Prices for 40- to 80-count stocks are weak.   

• Idaho 40- to 80-count cartons are abundant
• Storage crop quality is very good, but pressure bruising and hollow heart have been sporadic in large sizes (40- to 80-count potatoes)
• 5/10-pound, 10/5-pound, and 6/8-pound retail bales are available
  • Non A-size packs are tighter
  • Jumbo 10-ounce minimum supplies are being substituted
• New crop harvesting is estimated to begin August 3
