Prices continue to rise as demand is shifting from cartons to retail bags. Orders are outpacing Idaho potato supply levels, especially of 100-count and smaller sizes. Retailers are beginning to increase demand for cartons due to the void left by foodservice. 

• Idaho 40- to 50-count cartons are becoming more available
• 60- through 90-count packs are abundant
• Both Idaho and Washington potato prices will keep climbing through the rest of the season
• The increase in demand will more than likely lead to a gap in Idaho potato supplies by late July; new crop harvesting is estimated to begin August 3
