Rain is forecast tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, in the growing regions of Sonora, Mexico; supplies will tighten and quality will fall. Retail demand is increasing due to COVID-19, driving up prices.
West Coast
- Cooler-than-normal temperatures and heavy rain will reduce volume and affect production
- New growing districts have started harvesting in a limited manner, but have not ramped up due to unfavorable weather
- Expect increasing markets through the rest of the month
East Coast
- Warmer-than-normal temperatures have contributed to adequate volume
- Strong demand caused by decreased Mexican stocks is pushing up Florida markets
- Prices will continue to rise
