UPDATE: Strawberries

Strawberry supplies will remain tight. Rain persists in Oxnard and Santa Maria, California, while harvesting is winding down in Florida and Mexico.
Santa Maria & Oxnard
- 0.50” – 0.75” of rainfall is forecast in both regions today and into tomorrow afternoon
- Suppliers packed Markon orders yesterday, March 15, to cover orders loading today and tomorrow
- Weather-related quality problems include bruising, decay, and mold
- Attached are photos of fields affected by rain
Florida & Mexico
- The weather is warm (reaching the high 80s) in Florida and Mexico; expect some bruising and softness in remaining berries
- The Florida season will end next week
- Mexican stocks will remain tight through late March
