Idaho potato supply levels are not meeting demand, especially for 40- to 70-count stocks.

• Availability of 40- to 70-count cartons will decrease even more as Burbanks become the primary variety packed in early March
• 80- through 100-count cartons are more readily available
• Washington’s Norkotah market continues to rise
  • Demand for large potatoes is shifting from Idaho to Washington
  • Prices for 40- to 100-count cartons are comparable to those for Idaho Norkotahs
  • Washington’s 40- and 50-count volume is higher than Idaho’s
• Expect both the Idaho and Washington potato markets to continue climbing through the rest of the season
