Sugar snap pea supplies will be limited over the next two weeks. Rain and freezing temperatures are causing quality issues and reducing yields in the Baja, Mexico growing region.

• Expect tight stocks until harvesting in the Caborca, Sonora growing region of Mexico starts in early January
• Suppliers are sorting raw product prior to shipping, but heavy cull rates are resulting in fewer sugar snap peas on the market
• Quality issues such as spotting and discoloration may be present in finished packs
• Expect elevated markets and limited supplies into early January
