Idaho Potatoes
- The Idaho potato market is expected to remain consistently higher than the 2018-2019 season.
- Both varieties, Norkotahs and Burbanks, will need to be utilized to prevent shortages through April 2020
- Markon expects that orders will need to be supplemented with Washington potatoes by April 2020.
Strawberries
- California quality and supply levels will be affected by wet weather
- New crop Florida berries have begun shipping in a limited way
- New crop Mexican supplies are available for loading in South Texas
- Pricing remains elevated; stocks are tight
Desert Region Weather
- The Arizona/California desert growing region experienced two storms over the past week that dropped just over an inch of rain
- This cold, wet weather pattern will persist into the week of December 2
- Disruptions and delays in harvesting, processing, and loading operations are expected
