The Yuma, Arizona desert and Oxnard, California regions are forecast to receive rain this week.

• Expected totals in Yuma are 1/2” on Thursday, November 28
• Oxnard totals are substantially higher, with upwards of 2” starting Wednesday, November 27 through the weekend
  • Even more rain is expected the following week
  • Tender leaf items will be sourced from the desert growing region to cover orders       
• Production will be affected by muddy conditions for the next several days; growers will pack ahead today
• Markon inspectors will be monitoring lettuce and leafy green supplies for any rain-related quality and shelf-life concerns
