UPDATE: Lime Drought

Prices continue to climb. Demand exceeds supply.
- Yields remain down in Mexico due to lack of rain in the primary growing regions of Veracruz and Tabasco
- Crossings into the U.S. are lower this week than last week
- Demand exceeds supply for 110- through 200-count sizes; the crop is dominated by 230- through 250-count fruit
- Limes are exhibiting more yellowing than normal with occasional breakdown and decay issues; order for quick turns
- Prices are expected to remain high with extremely limited supplies through late September or until Mexico gets more rain
