Stocks are limited in California’s Salinas Valley; demand far exceeds supply. The market will continue to rise through next week.  

• Processors must harvest more acres than normal to fill commodity and value-added orders
• Regional growing seasons (Colorado, Eastern Canada, and the Northeastern U.S.) will begin next month; however, past and current adverse weather conditions will delay their normal start dates
• Lower yields are forecast in all growing areas; demand will continue to exceed supply through early July
• Value-added iceberg and romaine products will meet trigger levels for shipments dated Wednesday, June 26
