The Northern part of the Salinas Valley received just over a third of an inch of rain last night, May 15. Less amounts of rain were recorded in the Southern portion of the valley. Occasional showers will linger throughout the day today before clearing on Friday, but another cold front is forecast to arrive this Saturday, May 18, and one more on Tuesday, May 21.

We have been packing ahead in expectations of the forecasted rain, and will continue to do so through early next week. Expect to find some lettuce and other field-packed items with elevated amounts of dirt and mud on the inside and outside of the box.
