A series of storm systems will work their way through the Salinas Valley and Santa Maria growing regions of California starting this Wednesday, May 15 and continuing through early next week. Projected rainfall totals for this rare, mid-May storm now exceed two inches.

• Expect harvesting and loading delays over the next several days   
• Potential quality defects may develop in the coming days such as:
  • Bottom rot and decay
  • Bruising and softness
  • Mildew pressure
  • Pre-mature pinking
