FROM THE FIELDS: MFC Strawberries From California's Central Coast

Markon First Crop (MFC) Strawberries are available out of the Oxnard and Santa Maria, California growing regions. Quality is very good: vibrant, red color is becoming more prevalent. Recent strong winds caused some scarring, but harvesting crews are culling damaged fruit.
Ample supplies of excellent quality, large-size fruit are expected in the Santa Maria growing region for Easter and Mother’s Day. Limited quantities of MFC Strawberries from Watsonville will enter the market in late April/early May.
