FOOD SAFETY UPDATE: HENRY AVOCADO RECALLS AVOCADOS DUE TO LISTERIA

This update does not apply to any Markon First Crop, Ready-Set-Serve, or Markon Essentials products.

Henry Avocado of Escondido, California is recalling California grown whole avocados due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall was issued because of a positive test result for the pathogen that was taken during a routine government inspection at its California packing facility.

There are no illnesses associated with this recall.

The recalled products are California grown conventional and organic avocadoes packed at Henry Avocado’s packing facility in California. Implicated product was distributed to Arizona, California, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Wisconsin. All shipments from the California packing facility between January 2019 and March 23, 2019 are subject to the recall.

No Markon orders are affected by this recall, please be sure to check for any direct purchases that may be involved.
