The produce industry is moving into a volatile four to six week time period. From now through the end of the desert season (mid- to late April), broccoli, cauliflower, green leaf, iceberg, and romaine supply levels will fluctuate and quality will fall. 

• A select few suppliers in the Arizona desert will begin their transition to California’s San Joaquin Valley next week
• Expect more growers to transition north to California’s Salinas Valley from early to mid-April
• Processors will start moving back to the Salinas Valley the first week of April and finish by the weekend of April 20
• Expect to see more From the Fields updates through this challenging time
