Bell pepper prices are elevated due to tight supplies. Growers are transitioning to new areas of production.

• The California season is ending
  • Green bell harvesting will end Friday, November 30 (for most suppliers)
  • Red bells will continue shipping through Friday, December 14 (pending weather)
• Mexican production has been delayed by poor weather
• Green bell harvesting (crossing into Nogales, Arizona) has started in a limited way
• Ample supplies are not expected until mid-December
• Growers are transitioning from Georgia to Florida; volume is high enough to meet East Coast demand
