Cilantro supplies remain limited throughout California and Baja, Mexico.

• Ready-Set-Serve Washed & Trimmed Cilantro is sporadic; packer label will be substituted as needed 
• Elevated prices and strong demand have caused growers to harvest fields earlier than scheduled, straining current supplies and shrinking yields in upcoming lots
• Persistent high temperatures in all growing regions have delayed new growth and sustained quality issues such as tip burn and yellowing
• The USDA continues to ban shipments of any cilantro being grown in the region of Pueblo, Mexico due to the food safety outbreak several weeks ago   
• The ban on cilantro from Pueblo will be enforced through August
• The USDA will determine if the ban will continue into September no later than August 31
• Once this ban is lifted, we expect prices to ease as Mexican supplies become available in U.S. markets at competitive prices
• Expect low volume and high prices through the next two weeks
• Maintaining the cold chain is critical; ordering for quick turns is recommended
