Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials Navel Oranges are limited; packer label Navel and Valencia supplies are being substituted as needed. MFC Valencia Oranges will be available in mid-May when supplies increase. Stocks are dominated by large sizes (56- and 72-count fruit); smaller sizes (88-count and smaller) are extremely tight. Flexibility in size, grade, and variety may be needed for order coverage. Prices are rising.

• Supplies of 88-count and smaller fruit are extremely limited for both the Navel and Valencia crops
• Navel supplies will remain tight through May
  • 72-count and larger fruit dominate the crop
  • Supplies of 88-count and smaller fruit will continue to decrease as the season winds down
• New crop California Valencia supplies are available; total yield estimates are down approximately 10% from last season
  • Fancy grade 72-count and larger fruit dominate the crop
  • Expect extremely limited small sizes by August
• Florida Valencia stocks are available through May; large sizes (56- and 72-count fruit) dominate the market
• Texas Valencia production is winding down; limited supplies will be available through May
• Mexican Valencias (into South Texas and Nogales, Arizona) are scarce; size is dominated by 72- and 88-count combo grade
