Markon First Crop (MFC) Cantaloupe Melons will be available beginning Monday, May 7. MFC Honeydew Melons will be available starting Monday, May 14.

• Quality will be very good with sugar levels averaging 12 to 14 Brix; flavor will be sweet
• At the start of the season, size will be dominated by 12-count for cantaloupe and 6-count for honeydew
• The Arizona/California desert growing season will reach its peak by May 30 and end in early July
• The crop will transition to the western side of California’s San Joaquin Valley in early July
• Expect stable prices as domestic supplies ramp up through May
