UPDATE: California Strawberries

July 01, 2015

Markon First Crop (MFC) Strawberries are limited; Markon Best Available (MBA) is being substituted as needed. Available supplies are abundant and will meet Fourth of July demand, however this week’s high temperatures will diminish quality and shorten shelf-life. Markon recommends loading berries FOB to minimize transit time. Maintaining the cold chain throughout distribution and ordering for quick turns will be critical steps in maximizing quality and shelf-life.
