Melons
- Cantaloupe and honeydew prices will increase over the next two weeks
- Markon First Crop (MFC) Melons are not packed during the offshore season
- Supplies are available in Florida and will be on the California market by next week
- Mexican-grown cantaloupes are available through mid-December; Mexican-grown honeydews will be available through the winter season
Strawberries
- MFC Strawberries are not available; Markon Best Available and packer label are being substituted
- New crop strawberries are on the market in Florida and Mexico, where quality is better
- California quality and supply levels are being affected by wet weather
- Prices are fairly steady
Tomatoes
- Florida round tomato supplies are below average through late December; extra-large sizes will be especially limited
- Mexican grown vine-ripe tomato supplies are scarce; winter production will ramp up by early January
- Mexican roma supplies are sufficient; increasing demand will push prices higher
- Expect elevated markets to continue through December
