Markon First Crop Premium Green Leaf, Iceberg, and Romaine Lettuces are available in the Arizona/California desert growing region.

Desert region supplies are ample and quality is very good due to favorable growing conditions. Temperatures are expected to remain in the low to mid-80s over the next several days, which will promote more growth.

Quality defects are minimal with only a few incidences of bottom rot and weak tip that harvesting crews are removing for finished packs. The Huron, California growing season will end this week; iceberg quality is excellent, but case weights are lighter.
