UPDATE: Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, and Squash

Bell pepper, cucumber, and squash production will transition to Florida and Mexico over the next three weeks. Hurricane Irma caused extensive damage and planting delays throughout Florida. Expect elevated prices through early December.
East Coast
- Markon First Crop (MFC) Green Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, and Squash are available in Georgia
- Cucumber and squash production will transition from Georgia to Florida by early November

Bell pepper production will begin on Florida’s East Coast by mid-November
- Operations along Florida’s West Coast will be delayed into early December due to Hurricane Irma’s impact
- Expect elevated markets and limited East Coast supplies from early November through early December
West Coast
- MFC Green and Red Bell Peppers are available in California
- MFC Cucumbers and Squash are available in Mexico (into Nogales, Arizona)
- Bell pepper production will begin in Mexico by early November; expect prices to climb as East Coast stocks diminish
- Cucumber and squash stocks are ample in Mexico; expect steady markets over the next three weeks
