UPDATE: Oranges

Markon First Crop and Markon Essentials Oranges are not available. As anticipated, the California Valencia season has come to an early end. Extremely limited supplies of offshore Navel and Texas oranges are available; demand exceeds supply.

The California Valencia harvest has come to an end
- New crop California Navels will not begin shipping until the week of Oct 30; supplies will be tight
- Adequate volume is not expected until the week of Nov 13

Texas harvests have been delayed due to rain
- Approximately one inch of rain fell today in Mission, Texas
- Harvesting crews have not been able to work
- Supplies are extremely limited, especially 88-, 113-, and 138-count sizes
- More rain is forecast for tomorrow, October 11 and Thursday, October 12

The offshore Navel season is winding down; only a few more containers will arrive over the next several weeks
- 88-count and smaller sizes will be scarce
- Sizes are dominated by 64-count and larger fruit (fancy grade with stickers)

Very few Florida growers have begun harvesting; the season is delayed for most suppliers due to Hurricane Irma
- Supplies will not begin ramping up until late October/early November
- Volume is low; demand exceeds supply
