Green leaf, iceberg, and romaine supplies are tightening; prices are rising.      

• Markon First Crop Premium Green Leaf, Iceberg, and Romaine are sporadic; Markon Best Available will be substituted as necessary
• High temperatures experienced earlier this month followed by lower-than-normal temperatures have caused quality problems and reduced yields
• Another heat wave is expected next week, which will further limit supplies 
• Processors started purchasing iceberg and romaine fields to supplement their raw product losses
• Prices are expected to remain elevated through November
