Markon First Crop (MFC) Onions remain available in California and New Mexico. Limited quantities are being harvested in Washington. Idaho/Oregon onions will be on the market next week. 

California

• MFC Red and Yellow Onions will be available through the week of August 14
• Quality and supply levels have been affected by extremely high temperatures the entire season
• Yellow onion stocks are adequate; remaining supplies are dominated by medium and jumbo sizes
• Red and white onions are limited

Idaho/Oregon

• MFC Red and Yellow Onions will be available the week of August 14
• Limited supplies of packer label onions will be available next week
• Crops will generate more jumbo and medium sizes compared to super and colossal

New Mexico

• MFC Red and Yellow Onions will be available through the week of August 28
• Recent rains in the New Mexico growing regions have slowed harvesting, drying, and packing
• Yellow supplies are ample; however, red and white onions are tight

Washington

• MFC Red and Yellow Onions will come available the week of August 8
• Limited supplies of packer label yellows onions are on the market
• The crop is dominated by small and medium sizes

Utah

• MFC Red and Yellow Onions will be on the market the week of August 28

• Supplies will be dominated by jumbo sizes  
• Beginning the week of August 14, Washington onions can be transferred for consolidation in Syracuse, Utah
