FOOD SAFETY UPDATE: Inventure Foods, Inc. Recalls Frozen Vegetables

This update does not apply to any Markon First Crop, Ready-Set-Serve, or Markon Essentials products.


Inventure Foods, Inc. of Phoenix, AZ, is recalling certain varieties of its Fresh Frozen line of frozen vegetables and select varieties of Jamba “At Home” smoothie kits. The recall was initiated after the company found Listeria monocytogenes in its processing facility in Jefferson, GA. Although the recalled products did not next positive for the pathogen, Inventure Foods, is initiating a recall out of an abundance of caution. There are no known illnesses related to these products at this time.

 

The affected frozen vegetables were distributed to retail outlets and foodservice accounts in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

 

The affected smoothie kits were distributed to retail outlets east of the Mississippi River.

 

No Markon products are included in this voluntary recall nor did Markon purchase any of the implicated items from Inventure Foods, Inc. Please remember to physically check your inventory to ensure none of the affected products are in your warehouse.
