Rain in the Baja region of Mexico over the past several weeks coupled with cooler-than-normal temperatures have lowered yields; supplies remain limited. Expect the market to hover in the $25.00-$28.00 F.O.B. cost range for the next 7-10 days.

• Ready-Set-Serve Green Onions are expected to remain at first trigger levels for the duration of the week
• While the turmoil (i.e. fuel shortages, local protests, and road closures) created by a new government fuel policy in Mexico has eased since last week, markets remain elevated due to lower yields
• Rain and high winds in Mexicali over the last two weeks have affected plants that were scheduled to be harvested over the next two to three weeks
• Supplies are forecast to meet average volume
