UPDATE: Weather in Mexico

Inclement weather continues to affect several commodity crops in Mexico’s primary growing regions. Reduced harvesting hours, low yields, and fewer supplies have caused prices to rise.

Lower-than-normal temperatures and recent rain have slowed the harvest of several commodities in Culiacan, Sinaloa, and Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, including:
- Chile peppers
- Cucumbers
- Red bell peppers
- Squash
- Tomatillos
- Tomatoes (all varieties)
- Yellow bell peppers
- Florida has been experiencing a heat wave that started this weekend and will persist through Thursday, February 13; this warm weather will boost volume
- Expect elevated prices for the month of February
