UPDATE: Tomatoes

Tomato prices continue to climb, but are expected to peak next week. Supplies in Florida and Mexico will remain extremely limited for the next three weeks; however, stocks will increase by early January, causing the market to ease.

Central and South Florida mature green volume will remain below seasonal norms for the next one to two weeks
- Growers will start harvesting new crop plantings that followed Hurricane Irma this coming weekend
- Markets will stabilize the week of December 24, then ease in early January
- The season for Mexican-grown mature greens is expected to start the first week of January
- Vine ripe supplies remain scarce; winter production will ramp up in early January and ease prices
- Roma and grape prices will spike next week, but begin to inch down by the last week of December
