Hurricane Florence
- Hurricane Florence is expected to make landfall tonight, Thursday, September 13
- The system is expected to move slowly once it makes landfall, lingering over North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia into early next week; rainfall amounts are forecast as high as 20”-30” in some areas
- Freight rates are climbing across the country due to increased demand for trucks; expect limited availability of trucks across the nation

Prices will rise and supplies will tighten for many commodities, including:
- Bell peppers
- Cabbage
- Corn
- Cucumbers
- Squash
- Sweet Potatoes
- Tomatoes
Limes
- Markon First Crop Limes are available from Mexico (loading in McAllen, Texas)
- Availability is tightening up, but supplies remain adequate due to weak demand
- A tropical storm is developing in the southeastern Gulf of Mexico that may bring more wet weather later this week/early next week
- The market will climb
