Apples
- Markon First Crop (MFC) Granny Smith Apples, in 88- through 138-count sizes, are limited
- The crop is dominated by large fruit
- Smaller-sized apples will be available once orders are pulled exclusively out of storage
- Size substitutions may be required to fill orders
Avocados
- Avocado supplies will be extremely limited over the next several weeks
- Mexico, the primary growing region, has limited exports into the United States due to a grower strike
- Expect very few ripe avocados; packing sheds will be using hard green avocados to fill the shortage
Green Beans
- Ready-Set-Serve Trimmed Green Beans are limited; packer label is being substituted as needed
- Supplies remain extremely tight; demand will exceed supply through the Thanksgiving holiday
- Availability is not expected to increase until the week of November 19
Onions
- MFC Onions in Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Washington are being shipped out of storage
- Storage crop quality is excellentl in all colors
- Size profile is dominated by the jumbo and colossal categories (in all colors and regions)
- Storage supplies will be available in the Northwest through mid-May 2019
Romaine
- The market remains active at high levels
- Supplies will be limited through mid-November
Tomatoes
- Roma and round tomato supplies are tightening
- Growers are transitioning to new growing regions
- Prices are climbing in Mexico and Florida
