Celery

• Markon First Crop Celery is available in Oxnard and Salinas, California this week and next
• The Oxnard growing region will wrap up towards mid-June; Michigan production will start in early July
• Value-added triggers will be removed over the next two weeks
• Supplies are increasing; the market is expected to decline rapidly

Garlic

• Supplies will remain limited until mid-July, when California’s new crop supplies reach the market
• New crop harvests have been delayed due to below-normal growing temperatures over the past three months

• New crop Mexican garlic is in production now and will be available as a substitute to domestic stocks
• California’s 2017 crop will reach the market by early July; sufficient supply levels are forecast
