Broccoli

• Markon First Crop (MFC) Broccoli Crowns are available; Markon Best Available (MBA) and packer label are being substituted as necessary
• Erratic weather conditions have reduced December yields in the Arizona/California desert region and Mexico

Cauliflower

• Markon Essentials Cauliflower remains available in Western Arizona
• Quality is good: heads are firm and snowy white  
• Although stocks will increase slightly this week, overall volume will remain low

Strawberries

• MFC Strawberries are limited; MBA and packer label are being substituted as needed
• California rain and cold weather in Florida will effect quality and supply next week
• Supplies are tightening; Markon recommends moving orders to South Texas for best coverage and quality
• Prices are poised to rise next week in all regions                                         

Tomatoes

• The market has fallen
• Supplies have increased in Florida and Mexico
• This week’s near-freezing temperatures will slow growth and delay production in Central Florida
• Demand will shift to Mexico, pushing the market back up to the mid-level range
