Avocados
- Mexican stocks are dominated by 60-count and smaller fruit

Ripening is currently taking:
- Three to four days for Mexican fruit
- Four to five days for California stocks
- California supplies remain limited; the season is still ramping up
Cucumbers
- Higher-than-normal temperatures are forecast in the growing regions of Culiacan, Sinaloa through this weekend, which will aid growth and increase yields
- Quality is below average; better quality cucumbers are commanding higher prices
- Prices are expected to inch down at the end of next week
Limes
- Overall volume crossing into the U.S. is lower than normal
- The small size market is more active; 200-, 230-, 250-count fruit are the primary sizes used in foodservice
- Larger sizes (100- and 150-count limes) are more readily available
Squash
West Coast
- Markon First Crop (MFC) Yellow Squash and Zucchini from Mexico (into Nogales, Arizona) are limited; packer label is being substituted as needed
- Yellow squash volume is extremely low, while zucchini stocks are a bit more readily available
- New crop production will start in Hermosillo and Guaymas, Sonora in early March
- Expect elevated markets for the next 7 to 10 days
East Coast
- MFC Yellow Squash and Zucchini from Florida are tight; packer label is being substituted as needed
- Stronger demand due to low Mexican volume is increasing prices in Florida, especially those for yellow squash
- Markets will continue to rise as Florida is expecting rainy, cold weather over the next few days, which will slow growth and harvesting
- Pricing will remain elevated for one to two weeks
Tomatoes
- Florida will experience rain and cooler-than-normal temperatures through Sunday
- Yields will remain low due to delayed production through next week
- Florida prices are holding firm
- Sinaloa, Mexico’s forecast calls for continued warm weather
- Cherry, grape, Roma, and round tomato volume is slowly rising; prices have started to ease
- Availability is increasing out of Nogales, Arizona and McAllen, Texas this week
