Broccoli and Cauliflower
- The Salinas and Santa Maria seasons are ramping up
- Mexican broccoli volume (into South Texas) is high
- Improved California weather is aiding growth
- Expect markets to decline over the next week, then remain low through April
Celery
- Demand is weak in the fresh-market and processed celery categories
- Product planted for normal spring orders is not being consumed at typical rates
- The passing of wet weather, along with warmer and longer days, will increase maturity and supply levels
Lettuce, Romaine, and Green Leaf
- Spring harvesting continues to ramp up in Salinas and Santa Maria
- Stocks remain available in the Huron, California growing region
- Pending any unexpected events, volume will remain high and prices will stay low through April
