UPDATE: STRAWBERRY SUPPLIES

Stocks are extremely limited this week as demand continues to outpace supply in all regions.
Mexico
- Low temperatures are keeping size small and supplies are tight
- The season is winding down and expected to end in late February/early March
- Fruit is loading in South Texas, as well as Oxnard and Los Angeles, California
- Stemmed strawberry supplies have tightened further due to small sizing
Oxnard, California
- Fields are recovering very slowly from recent heavy rains and strong winds
- Quality issues include wind scarring and bruising
- Supplies are extremely limited; Mexican fruit is being transferred to help fill shortages
- Stemmed strawberry supplies have continued to tighten due to small sizing
Florida
- The forecast calls for slightly warmer weather this week, along with sporadic showers
- Stocks will remain tight
- Quality is good
- Stemmed strawberry supplies are scarce due to inclement weather and small sizing
