Rain is expected to hit California’s main growing regions tonight and continue for the next 10 days. Supplies will become increasingly limited and problems such as small size, decay, mold, and reduced shelf-life will increase. New crop harvesting has started in a limited way in Florida and Mexico, but is not expected to increase volume until mid-December.

• California quality and supply levels will be affected by wet weather
  • Santa Maria and Lompoc stocks are decreasing
  • Oxnard volume is not expected to recover until mid-December
• New crop Florida berries have begun shipping in a limited way
• Expect pallet quantities for the next two weeks only
• Markon First Crop one- and two-pound clamshells will be available in mid- to late December
• The season will continue through late February/early March

• New crop Mexican supplies are available for loading in South Texas
  • Volume is low; markets are high
  • Fruit is small due to inclement weather in the growing regions over the past three weeks
• Pricing remains elevated with tight supplies on the market
