Strawberry supplies continue to tighten. Production is finishing up in the Salinas/Watsonville area; stocks continue to decline week over week in Santa Maria/Lompoc. Mexican volume is less than anticipated.  Demand is strong; expect prices to increase. 

• Salinas/Watsonville growers are almost done transitioning from berry fields to winter vegetable plantings
• Shorter days combined with cooler nights have slowed plant growth and decreased yields in the Santa Maria/Lompoc area
• Weather in Mexico has slowed strawberry production the past 10 days
• Expect prices to climb further next week
