UPDATE: Strawberries
March 25, 2015
Markon First Crop (MFC) Strawberries are available out of Oxnard, California; Markon Best Available will be substituted as needed. Strong demand for the Easter holiday is pushing up prices. Warmer temperatures are expected this week in all California growing regions. Supplies are sufficient, but size will be slightly smaller, as berry color will deepen faster than normal due to the abnormally hot weather. Light bruising and soft texture will also be issues.
