UPDATE: SQUASH

Squash prices continue to rise; supplies are extremely limited in all growing regions. Expect higher prices over the next two weeks.

  • The Mexican season (crossing into Nogales, Arizona) has ended
  • Yields in California, Georgia, and North Carolina are below normal levels; overall supplies are tight
    • Last week’s heat has reduced supplies in the primary growing region of Santa Maria, California
    • East Coast rain has reduced yields over the past month
    • The Ohio, Michigan, and New Jersey harvests won’t start until late June/ early July
  • Expect elevated prices for the rest of June
