UPDATE: Spring 2017 Harvesting Transition

March 27, 2017

The spring harvesting transition from Yuma, Arizona to Huron, California (the San Joaquin Valley region) is underway. Markon anticipates the Yuma to wrap up at the end of the month/early April. All indications point to the Salinas Valley beginning in a limited way the week of April 3.

For the next four to six weeks, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, lettuce, and leafy green prices will remain volatile due to erratic weather conditions over the past several months.
